A health care executive versed in fiscal stewardship and relationship building, Udayan Shah, MD, MBA, is the chief of pediatric otolaryngology at Nemours Delaware Valley, where he oversees 12 provides and seven sites with a combined 25,000 office visits and 5,000 surgical cases per year. He has served in this role since 2015, during which time he has led regional expansion and practice sub-specialization efforts that have resulted in a 25 percent and 22 percent growth in visits and cases, respectively. Dr. Udayan Shah is also the enterprise chief of credentialing for Nemours Children's Health System, overseeing 1900 providers.

Throughout more than two decades in academic medicine, Dr. Udayan Shah has advanced clinical innovations, researched, taught and mentored. He has served as professor of otolaryngology - head and neck surgery and professor of pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University's Sidney Kimmel Medical College since 2007. He has also published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. Shah formerly directed the fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Nemours and was an attending surgeon at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He holds an MBA from Temple University and earned his MD from Boston University School of Medicine.
